Remembering Jake Berthot

  • The Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation 87 Eldridge Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Please join us at the Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation on Thursday, April 21 for a discussion of the life and art of Jake Berthot with Riley Brewster, Ying Li, John Lees and moderator Geoffrey Dorfman. Discussion will begin at 6 pm.

Jake Berthot was well known as an artist and a teacher. He taught at Cooper Union in the 70s, Yale University in the 80s, and at the School of Visual Arts until 2012.

Brewster, Li, and Lees were friends and colleagues of the artist. They will talk about their experiences with Berthot and the many facets of his work. Currently on view at the Foundation is a selection of Berthot’s enamels, which are unique in his body of works.

We hope you will join us.
